Our Sponsors and Supporters

LowVisionGuide.org may be supported by a small number of organizations whose work aligns with our mission.

These relationships are selective, transparent and governed by a strict editorial firewall. Financial support, equipment loans and other contributions do not determine what we publish or recommend.

Program status

Sponsorship program established

Our sponsorship program has been established, but no Mission Sponsors or Community Partners are currently listed.

Prospective relationships are not identified until qualification is complete and the applicable written agreement has been executed.

When relationships are confirmed, this page will identify each participating organization, its participation category and any relevant contribution.

Participation categories

Mission Sponsors

Mission Sponsors are commercial organizations operating within or meaningfully supporting the low-vision and blindness community.

Mission Sponsors provide annual financial support and must agree in writing to our Editorial Independence Charter and Sponsorship Policy.

No Mission Sponsors are currently listed.

Community Partners

Community Partners may include qualifying nonprofit organizations, advocacy organizations, government programs and accredited educational institutions serving people who are blind or have low vision.

Participation may be offered at a reduced fee or without charge. A Community Partner listing does not imply that a government agency, university or nonprofit organization endorses LowVisionGuide.org or Visible Living LLC.

Community Partners must agree to our editorial-independence requirements.

No Community Partners are currently listed.

Industry Supporters

Industry Supporters are organizations recognized for documented nonfinancial contributions, such as:

  • Equipment supplied or loaned for independent evaluation
  • Technical training
  • Educational participation
  • Factual product documentation
  • Professional expertise

Industry Supporters are not sponsors unless a separate sponsorship agreement exists. Recognition does not constitute a product recommendation, certification or endorsement.

No Industry Supporters are currently listed.

What these relationships mean

No editorial influence

Sponsors, partners and supporters cannot select our topics, review drafts, approve articles, determine ratings or control publication decisions.

They receive no advance access to content or publication schedules.

Independent evaluations

We apply the same evaluation standards regardless of whether an organization supports the site.

Commercial relationships do not guarantee:

  • Editorial coverage
  • A product review
  • A recommendation
  • A favorable rating
  • Inclusion in a comparison
  • Advance notice of our conclusions

Accurate critical findings are not removed or softened because of a financial or business relationship.

Factual corrections remain open

Any reader or organization may report a possible factual error.

Sponsors and supporters may not require us to change or remove accurate content. We independently determine whether a correction is warranted under our normal editorial process.

Relationships are disclosed

When we review, recommend or substantially discuss a product from a current sponsor, we disclose that relationship near the beginning of the article.

When a product was supplied, loaned or discounted for evaluation, we also disclose that fact.

Ownership is disclosed

LowVisionGuide.org is owned and operated by Visible Living LLC, which also operates the VisibleLiving.org retail website.

If a listed organization also has a supplier, dealer, affiliate or other commercial relationship with Visible Living LLC, that relationship will be disclosed when relevant.

Annual reporting

We intend to publish an annual impact report identifying sponsorship-program participation and summarizing relevant program activity.

The report will distinguish financial sponsorship from nonfinancial contributions.

What sponsors do not receive

Sponsors do not receive:

  • Paid editorial coverage
  • Sponsored articles or native advertising
  • Favorable rankings
  • Guaranteed recommendations
  • Control over corrections
  • The right to suppress criticism
  • The right to require removal or modification of accurate content

Category-exclusive sponsor placement, when offered, applies only to sponsorship recognition. It never excludes competitors from editorial coverage.

Sponsorship inquiries

We are not currently accepting open applications.

If your organization operates within the low-vision or blindness ecosystem and you believe there is a genuine mission fit, contact sponsorship@lowvisionguide.org.

An inquiry does not guarantee qualification, program availability or an offer.
